A new word for card games

Currently, a lot of renaming seems to be taking place or at least attempted. Some things, however, seem to be moving in a contrary direction to the prevailing trend. It is rumoured that the International Bridge Association is changing its laws to introduce the new term “kennedy“. This will require a new definition to be inserted into dictionaries, such as:

kennedy
in bridge, whist and similar card games) a playing card of the suit chosen to rank above the others, which can win a trick where a card of a different suit has been led.

and various rules will need to be amended, e.g.

A kennedy card is any card belonging to the suit which has been designated as the kennedy suit for the duration of the hand. The kennedy suit is determined by the final, highest-ranking bid in the auction (e.g. 4 spades means spades are kennedys).

(Note: Only the first sentence of this post is true. The rest is fictional but if enough card players adopt the changes, who knows?)
